Yola joined Sands Capital in 2018 and as Director and Senior Legal Counsel, she focuses on Sands Capital Ventures' transactions and fund formation activities. Prior to joining Sands Capital, Yola practiced as an attorney in the investment funds group at White & Case LLP. Outside of her legal practice, from 2015-2019 Yola served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Yola began her career as a corporate strategy consultant for private and public sector clients at Monitor Deloitte. She received a B. Comm., with first class honors, and BA with distinction, from Queen's University (Canada). She also earned a Masters of Science in Foreign Service degree, with distinction, and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown University.
