Mike is the director of research, a co-portfolio manager of the Global Leaders strategy, a senior research analyst, and an executive managing director of Sands Capital.

Mike joined the firm as a research associate in 2007 and was promoted to research analyst in 2009. He held the position of associate director of research from 2015 to 2021. In 2016, Mike was promoted to senior research analyst. In 2019, he was named a co-portfolio manager of the Global Leaders strategy, after serving as a portfolio manager associate since the strategy’s inception. In 2024, Mike was appointed to Sands Capital’s executive management team, which provides strategic leadership across the firm. Before joining Sands Capital, Mike was an analyst at SNL Financial (now New Mountain Capital).

Mike received a BA from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He is a CFA® charterholder.
