Eric is a senior research analyst primarily covering businesses across global emerging and frontier markets. He also co-leads the firm’s macroeconomic research efforts.

Eric joined Sands Capital in 2013 as a research associate supporting the portfolio managers of the Global Growth and Emerging Markets Growth strategies. He was promoted to senior research associate in 2014, research analyst in 2019, and senior research analyst in 2023. In 2024, he was appointed as a portfolio manager associate on the Emerging Markets Growth strategy. Prior to joining the firm, Eric was a research assistant at Wikistrat and at the World Justice Project.

Eric received a BA in political economy and Russian from Georgetown University and an MBA from the UVA Darden School of Business.
