Kumar is a partner on the Global Innovation strategy, and he leads the firm’s office in the Bay Area. Kumar joined Sands Capital in 2014. He has significant experience investing in both public and private software businesses. Before joining the firm, Kumar was a senior analyst at Altman Vilandrie & Company (now Altman Solon), a management consulting firm that advises businesses and investors in the telecom, media, and technology sectors. Kumar received a BA in computer science from Dartmouth College and an MS in management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
