The United Kingdom’s Financial Reporting Council has named Sands Capital as a signatory to the UK Stewardship Code for the second year in a row. The UK Stewardship Code was designed to strengthen reporting requirements and stewardship expectations for asset managers, asset owners, and service providers.
“This result reflects our team’s ability to integrate stewardship into our firm’s activities to generate value for our clients,” said Karin Riechenberg, Sands Capital’s director of stewardship.
Sands Capital was accepted on the basis of its comprehensive stewardship reporting, which aligns with the code’s requirements around firm culture, governance, compliance policies, client relationship management, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) integration, company engagement, and proxy voting.
The UK Stewardship Code sets a high bar globally for asset managers and asset owners reporting on ESG integration, engagement, and voting practices.
