Emerson is a co-portfolio manager of the Sands Capital Technology Innovators strategy and Focus 5, 10, and 15 strategies and a senior research analyst primarily covering software businesses.

Emerson joined Sands Capital in 2010 as a research associate and was promoted to senior research associate in 2012, research analyst in 2015, and senior research analyst in 2019. He was named co-portfolio manager of the Technology Innovators strategy in 2021 and of the Focus 5, 10, and 15 strategies in 2022.

Emerson received a BS in accounting and business administration from Washington and Lee University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
